The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
